Texas Contemporary™ Monthly: Issue 01
In an environment of unprecedented challenges that keep knocking on the door, including the recent deep freeze, the LEVY 2021 vision keeps moving forward at a great pace with motivation and success. These are some of our focused initiatives well underway.

We have recently added 5 new talented team members to our design studio: Jose, Shanta, Jennifer, Luis, and Anna
4. CONTINUE TO INVEST IN NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURES
New servers, workstations, communications systems, and software have been updated

Almost complete
The Garden at The Summit
Inspired by Boston's North End (Little Italy) pubs and public gardens, The Garden will serve as the anchor restaurant to Georgetown's lively, The Summit at Rivery Park. The 5,607 SF restaurant features bookended outdoor patio spaces, a dual-height cafe-style dining space with a full bar, and a wine display feature wall. Brick accents, vintage elements, and greenery throughout bring the unique Boston-Italian aesthetic to Georgetown.
Anticipated opening in July of 2021, The Garden will serve a refined menu of antipasti, soups & salads, fritti, panini's, pizza tonda, and dolci.
Memorial Park Mixed-Use
Located in Houston, Texas, this 11,344 GSF mixed-use program features a multi-tenant ground floor retail or restaurant with creative offices above.
The site bridges a residential and revitalized commercial / industrial district where vehicular and pedestrian integration provides a blended scale of project types. The design reflects its context, where both scale and material are reinterpreted. Protruding forms and exterior balconies provide flexibility to the interior program while acting as a functional brise soleil for the offices and covered area for the ground floor patios.
Community Connections
An integral part of the Texas Contemporary™ experience is our connection to the community. Our firm plays an active role in where we work, live and play. Every team member is required to dedicate a minimum of 2.5% of their time to community services.
LEVY President Steve Levy, his daughter Birdie, Principal Ryan Begley and his significant other Jill, rolled up their sleeves offering helping hands in distributing food to families in need in the city of Austin. Steve and Birdie teamed up with Mobile Loaves & Fishes, a collaborative effort to mitigate homelessness along with Austin Mutual Aid, to deliver meals to homeless throughout the city. In the aftermath of the Texas snow storm Ryan and Jill worked with Austin Mutual Aid to provide food and supplies to families in need. Through their volunteer efforts Steve, Birdie, Ryan and Jill brought a smile to others while sharing smiles from within.

Welcome to Texas Contemporary™ Monthly, the LEVY newsletter designed to share news of the dynamic world in which we work, live and play. The visionary aspirations of our clients, our team and the expanding communities that we serve, drive us. We are inspired and motivated by the challenges and responsibilities we are given every day in providing the unique value of the LEVY design experience that we call, "Texas Contemporary™." More than a design style, it is an expression of our values and drive to bring forward unique and valuable solutions of every design task. It is also an expression of the heart that we put into everything we do. In each issue of Texas Contemporary™ Monthly, we will highlight significant news, share examples of our ongoing design work, introduce our team, share examples of our commitment and work in the community, and close with a personal perspective from my vantage point as President and founder of LEVY. We hope you enjoy our monthly newsletter and look forward to receiving your comments and feedback as we chronicle and share the LEVY Experience with you.
