Fresa’s Westlake
Austin, Texas
Fresa’s is an Austin original that brings a fresh, elevated approach to fast casual Tex-Mex dining. For the restaurant's third and largest sit-down location, LEVY DYKEMA was engaged for architecture, interiors, purchasing and project management, with the goal to create a refined yet welcoming environment for all patrons.
The design responds to the client’s vision of creating a destination—an inviting, community-focused space that honors the brand’s roots while embracing the unique character of the Hill Country setting. Layered textures, rich hues of rouge and muted salmon, and handcrafted details such as European bar tiles, Moroccan Zellige, and terracotta breeze blocks create a sense of warmth, familiarity, and cultural depth. The use of color-rich serape textiles and traditional materials thoughtfully maintains Fresa’s Hispanic colonial aesthetic while introducing refined, contemporary elements that evolve the brand’s identity.
Outside, the 38-seat elevated deck offers a relaxed yet vibrant gathering space with stunning Hill Country views, solidifying Fresa’s not only as a premier to-go option, but as a welcoming space for guests to stay and connect.
